Attention dog lovers! The much-anticipated Wag N Wade Dog Swim is just around the corner, and tickets are going fast! This is your pup’s chance to enjoy a splashing good time, so be sure to sign up as soon as possible.

The event is thoughtfully organized into four different hour-long sessions to accommodate dogs of various sizes and ages. Each session can host up to 120 dogs, and the City of Grand Rapids Parks and Recreation kindly requests that you register for only one session to ensure all our furry friends get a turn to swim.
Close out the season at the Richmond Park Pool!
The free event is open to all community members and will be held on Sunday, August 18 from noon to 4:45 p.m.
Sessions:
- Session 1: Small Dogs (12:00 – 1:00 pm)
- For dogs under 35 pounds
- Session 2: Large Dogs I (1:15 – 2:15 pm)
- For dogs over 35 pounds
- Session 3: Large Dogs II (1:15 – 2:15 pm)
- For dogs over 35 pounds
- Session 4: Older Dogs (3:45 – 4:45 pm)
- For dogs aged 8 and up
What’s Provided:
- Dog waste bags
- Drinking water for the dogs
- Tennis balls
What to Bring:
- A leash for taking your dog in and out of the pool area (NEED)
- A towel (RECOMMENDED)
- A dog life jacket (RECOMMENDED)
- Dog booties (RECOMMENDED)
Rules:
- No humans are allowed in the pool water, only dogs
- Your dog(s) must be on a leash when entering and leaving the pool
- You must supervise and remain with your dog at all times
- Your dog must always be wearing a collar
- Leave all personal toys and treats at home
- You are responsible for cleaning up after your dog
- If your dog(s) is acting aggressively, you will need to remove yourself and your dog(s) from the pool area
