Big news for Grand Rapids and Comstock Park! AJ’s Family Fun Center, the go-to spot for mini golf, go-kart racing, batting cages, and arcade fun, is getting a fresh start. The West Michigan Whitecaps have announced their acquisition of AJ’s, and the park will reopen in 2025 as Game Time Fun Park, complete with exciting upgrades and a new look.
What’s the Plan?
Located right next to LMCU Ballpark in Comstock Park, the fun center has always been a local favorite. Now, under the Whitecaps’ leadership, the park will see renovations over the winter and be ready just in time for Opening Day on April 4, 2025.
While details about the updates are still under wraps, we know Game Time Fun Park will keep the attractions you already love—like one of the state’s largest outdoor go-kart tracks, an 18-hole mini golf course, and batting cages—while adding the Whitecaps’ signature touch to elevate the experience.
Why This Matters for Grand Rapids
This isn’t just about a fun day out in Comstock Park—it’s about creating a unique experience for West Michigan residents. Game Time Fun Park will make Whitecaps games even more enjoyable, giving fans and families a place to hang out before and after games. Plus, it’s not just limited to game days. The park will still be a great option for summer outings, birthday parties, or just a casual weekend with friends.
Joe Chamberlin, CEO of the West Michigan Whitecaps, shared his excitement:
“We’re taking everything people already love about AJ’s and enhancing it. Imagine go-karts, mini golf, and batting cages, all with the Whitecaps’ brand of fun. It’s the perfect way to kick off a baseball game or spend a summer afternoon.”
What’s Next?
Renovations are already in the works, and updates will roll out in time for spring. The Whitecaps are also completing upgrades at LMCU Ballpark, which means 2025 is shaping up to be a year packed with great memories for families in Grand Rapids and beyond.
Stay tuned for announcements about what’s coming to Game Time Fun Park, and mark your calendars for April 4 to see it all in action. Whether you’re heading to a game or just looking for some classic summer fun, this spot is about to become one of West Michigan’s best hangouts.
