Coheed and Cambria return to Grand Rapids with Mastodon on The Infinite Arc Tour. The band’s new album The Father of Make Believe brings a more personal edge to their usual sci-fi storytelling. Expect loud guitars, powerful vocals, and a crowd of die-hard fans.
ART! at the Market
Sunday, June 8 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM
Head to Fulton Street Market for a massive celebration of local creativity. Over 100 vendors will be selling everything from handmade jewelry to woodwork, candles, prints, and more. There are snacks, coffee, family-friendly art activities, and even hands-on workshops if you’re feeling inspired.
Start of Summer Celebration in Rockford
Thursday, June 5 through Sunday, June 8
Downtown Rockford goes all out for this four-day festival. The Start of Summer Celebration includes a full carnival, food booths, beer tents, a parade, fireworks, and tons of free kids' activities.
Live music all weekend with bands like Trixie Tang, Knee Deep, The Bronk Bro’s, and Innuendo. Look for balloon artists, magicians, dancers, jugglers, karaoke, and a big duck race at the dam. The Rockford Farmers Market and a yoga session by the dam are also part of the fun.
Wrap-Up
There’s no shortage of things to do this weekend, whether you’re staying in the city or heading up to Rockford. Catch a show, shop local art, ride a carnival ride, or just hang out and enjoy the start of summer. See you out there.
