Raising Cane’s officially opened its first West Michigan location in Kentwood on November 18, 2025. The restaurant at 3650 28th Street SE, near Lake Eastbrook Boulevard, drew a large turnout for opening day.

People began lining up ahead of time, and by the time the doors opened at 10 a.m., hundreds of customers were waiting outside. The morning included music, local performances, and giveaways as part of the celebration.

The new location serves the brand’s classic menu of chicken fingers, crinkle-cut fries, Texas toast, and Cane’s sauce. It includes dual drive-thru lanes, indoor seating for about 45 guests, and an outdoor patio with additional space.

This Kentwood restaurant is the first Raising Cane’s on the west side of Michigan. Other Michigan locations currently operate in Canton and East Lansing, and additional West Michigan sites have been publicly listed for areas such as Portage, Mount Pleasant, and Grandville.

The opening reflects the chain’s wider expansion across the state, with more West Michigan locations expected in the coming years.
