GR Turkey Trot 2025- Van Andel Arena 

The annual Turkey Trot returns as one of Michigan’s biggest Thanksgiving Day traditions. More than five thousand participants typically take part in the holiday 5K, which supports after-school activities for Grand Rapids Public School students. Proceeds help offset athletic program costs so all students have the opportunity to participate.

Thanksgiving Buffet- at Reds at Thousand Oaks (11 a.m. to 4 p.m.)

Reds is hosting a full Thanksgiving buffet for anyone looking to enjoy the holiday without the stress of cooking. The menu includes roasted turkey, carved beef and ham, pasta, salads, desserts, and other classics. Reservations are required.

Friday, November 28

Black Friday Market- Fulton Street Market (11 a.m. to 4 p.m.)

The annual Black Friday Market returns with handmade art, crafts, baked goods, and local gifts. Guests can also enjoy seasonal drinks including spiked cider and boozy hot cocoa while browsing.

Farmgirl Flea Holiday Market- Countryside Greenhouse (Nov. 28th and 29th)

More than 250 vendors will fill the greenhouse with vintage goods, handmade gifts, furniture, clothing, Michigan products, and holiday food items. The event also includes a visit from Santa, Christmas music, food trucks, and free parking.

Saturday, November 29

CARE Ballet presents “Twas the Night Before Christmas”- East Grand Rapids Performing Arts Center (Nov. 29th and 30th)

CARE Ballet brings the classic story to life in a one-hour family-friendly performance featuring holiday shoppers, dancing toys, and a visit from Santa. Guests can meet the dancers after the show.

Yung Gravy: Voluptuous Voyage Tour- The Intersection

The rapper brings his high-energy show to Grand Rapids with support from Pertinence. Known for his blend of soul samples, old-school influences, and modern trap, Yung Gravy continues touring with a style that has earned him a dedicated fan base.

Now Open: ENLIGHTEN at Frederik Meijer Gardens (Now through January 3, 2026)

ENLIGHTEN returns for its second year as an outdoor holiday exhibition combining large-scale art installations with illuminated trails and seasonal programming.
