Eastown’s food scene just got even better. Asada, the bold new Tex-Mex concept from the team behind neighborhood favorite Basalt, is officially opened at 1450 Wealthy St SE on April 18.
Blending the smoky depth of Central Texas barbecue with vibrant Tejano traditions, Asada brings a fresh, fire-kissed twist to Grand Rapids. Whether you’re stopping in for breakfast, a casual weekend brunch, or grabbing takeout on the go, Asada aims to be a lively spot where everyone feels welcome.
What’s on the Menu?
Breakfast runs from 8–11 AM and features loaded options like:
- The Breakfast Burrito (by Basalt): scrambled eggs, tots, 4-cheese blend, cilantro-lime rice, and your choice of bacon, sausage, or chorizo, all wrapped in a cheese-crusted tortilla
- Migas with fried corn tortillas and avocado
- Hotcakes, Biscuits and Gravy, Biscuit Sandwiches, and Drop Biscuit Donuts
Plant-Based Menu:
Asada also offers a strong plant-based lineup, including:
- Asada Tots smothered in vegan cheese, BBQ sauce, and mushroom asada
- Vegan Smash Burgers like the Ol’ Faithful, Americana, and Asada Burger with arugula and avocado
- Sides like Vegan Mac, Charro Beans, and Herby Potato Salad
