Friday Night Action
Start your weekend off with some hockey! The Grand Rapids Griffins hit the ice at Van Andel Arena at 7 PM. If you need another reason to go, they’re serving up $2 beers and $2 hot dogs—so grab a cheap bite and cheer on the home team. Check out tickets and more here!
This is also the Purple Community Game, supporting cancer and disease research at Van Andel Institute. The team will be rocking special purple jerseys, which will be auctioned off after the game—so you can leave with a one-of-a-kind piece of Griffin’s history.
If hockey isn’t your thing, the Grand Rapids Symphony will be performing live at DeVos Performance Hall. This weekend’s show, led by Bob Bernhardt, is all about sports anthems. Put on your favorite team’s logo and enjoy classics like “Take Me Out to the Ballgame”—plus, there will be special guests from the sports world making an appearance.

Saturday at noon, the Grand Rapids Rise take the court for some professional volleyball action. It’s a great chance to check out this new team and see some high-level play.

All Weekend: Ultimate Sports & LEGO Madness
From Thursday to Sunday, the Ultimate Sport Show is taking over DeVos Place. This is the spot for all things fishing, hunting, and outdoors—with gear, expert speakers, and even a trout pond for the kids.
Also running all weekend, LEGO lovers will want to check out Brick by Brick at the Grand Rapids Art Museum. Expect some incredible LEGO builds, interactive exhibits, and fun for all ages.
